#ATMDubai25 Day Three – What did you miss?

#ATMDubai25 Day Three – What did you miss?

It was business as usual on day three at #ATMDubai, with travel professionals from around the world once again filling the halls at the 25th edition of the Middle East’s leading inbound and outbound travel event.

Over the last two days we’ve asked some of our participants why ATM remains the place to be to make things happen in travel after so many years, here is what they had to say.

The commercial and socio-Cultural advantages of the experiential economy…
Day three started with a focus on responsible tourism over in the Showcase Theatre, in particular if authentic and sustainable experiences can extend the length of stay and create local economic benefits.

We chatted to ATM’s Responsible Tourism Advisor, Harold Goodwin following the session to learn more.

laa AlShroogi, Director of Visitor Experience for Expo 2020 also joined Harold on stage to give an insightful overview of what to expect from the expo and why sustainability is so important to them.

Responding to the evolving regional traveller…
Travellers are increasingly using technology to plan their trips and navigate their destinations, that was the message from executives discussing
the latest trends in traveler preferences here at #ATMDubai25 this afternoon.

The session included a look at payment preferences with Mohammed Ismaeel, SVP of Marketing at Visa, joining the expert panel.

We caught-up with Mohammed following the session to learn more.

Halal tourism – how far have we come…
What is the halal travel and tourism industry now worth, what trends are defining the sector in 2018 and where is the sector heading in the future. These were questions answered earlier today during the ATM Global Halal Tourism Summit.

Following the summit we spoke to speaker Faeez Fadlillah, Founder & CEO, Salam Standard and Tripfez for his thoughts on the topic.

More to come tomorrow…
That covers just some of day three at #ATMDubai 2018, there is still one more packed day to come!
