Online agency Evaneos Travel will be at World Travel Market London to promote its expansion plans and its new mobile application.

The app aims to connect travellers directly to “local experts” – 880 travel agents in 160 destinations around the world.

The app offers thousands of articles on each destination including anecdotes and more than 7,000 reviews from seasoned travellers.

Users can also contact Evaneos’ local travel agents on the app to create their itinerary on the move.

Founded in 2009, the venture operates in France, Germany, Spain, the UK and Italy.

Evaneos Travel recently won £15 million in funding from investors to help it expand globally.

The Paris-headquartered firm claims to be Europe’s first to connect travellers directly with travel agents in their holiday destinations. It also says booking holidays through Evaneos Travel means customers benefit from local insights and save money.
