Greater Fort Lauderdale hails hotel openings during WTM London 2016

More than $704 million is being invested in new hotel developments in Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Hotels due to open in 2017 include The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, with 290 studios and suites, and HYDE Resort, the beachfront sister property to the newly opened Beachwalk Resort in Hallandale Beach.

In 2018 a Four Seasons property will open, with 150 hotel rooms and 95 residences, two restaurants, a spa, fitness centre, children’s recreation room, “Beach Butlers”, ballroom and meeting facilities.

Elsewhere, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport has opened a new concourse in Terminal 4 – part of the first phase of a $450 million expansion and modernisation project.

When Phase Two of the project is completed in mid-2018, the terminal will have 12 international and two domestic gates.
