08.30 Incredible India Officially Opens WTM with a ceremony at the main entrance!

At this year’s World Travel Market, the Minister of State Tourism in India, Dr. Mahesh Sharma, will be taking to the stage at a press conference on Monday 7 November at 12pm (in Premier Suite S1, South Gallery – 11.30am for a prompt 12 noon start) to discuss the incredible and broad spectrum of tourism experiences and news that is set to further cement India’s reputation as a leading travel destination of the world in 2017.
Key points for discussion will include the following:
- Luxury India
- Expansion In The Market
- One Year Anniversary of the E-Visa
- Unveiling Previously Undiscovered Destinations
- Shared Heritage Celebrations and Celebrity Fans of India
Joining the Minister at the press conference on Monday 7 November will be Harry Potter movie and TV actor Miriam Margolyes, stand-out star of hit BBC series The Real Marigold Hotel, which featured several UK celebrities visiting India to consider India as a place to retire while exploring the country’s culture and sights. Miriam will discuss her love of India at the press conference.

Save the best until last for the grand finale of WTM 2016! Themed ‘Vibrant India’, the afternoon will showcase India’s cultural flair, with music, dancing and traditional cuisine to help you leave WTM feeling Incredible! Capture the moment with a final WTM selfie with TV star Miriam Margolyes, who will also be at the festival, mingling with festival guests and sharing stories from her time in India.
