HLITOA at WTM 2025: A Message of Hope and a Brighter Future from the Holy Land

The Holy Land Incoming Tour Operators Association (HLITOA) is proud to once again participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) 2025, carrying a message of hope, hospitality, and a brighter tomorrow for Palestine and the wider Holy Land.

In the face of challenges, the Palestinian tourism sector continues to look forward with optimism, determined to share its unique cultural treasures, rich traditions, and the warmth of its people. HLITOA’s presence at WTM is a reflection of the Palestinian people’s enduring belief that peace, coexistence, and prosperity are possible—and that tourism can be a powerful bridge toward this brighter future.

HLITOA invites the global travel community and international visitors to discover Palestine as a destination where history and heritage meet vibrant contemporary life. Beyond its ancient sacred sites and breathtaking landscapes, the Holy Land offers travelers’ experiences filled with connection, discovery, and the spirit of resilience that shapes a hopeful tomorrow.

This year, the Palestinian delegation will include the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, H.E Mr. Hani Al Hayek along with HLITOA President Michel Awad, and five leading Palestinian tourism companies. Together, they will present the diversity, professionalism, and readiness of the Palestinian tourism sector to engage international markets.

“We look to the future with confidence and hope,” said Michel Awad, President of HLITOA. “Our message at WTM is clear: Palestine remains a welcoming destination, proud of its culture and hospitality, and committed to building a future filled with peace and opportunity for all.”

HLITOA, established in 2005, is a legally registered and representative organization of Palestinian inbound tour operators. With over 40 active members, HLITOA works to promote sustainable tourism, protect cultural and natural heritage, and strengthen Palestine’s position as a welcoming and competitive destination.

By promoting sustainable tourism that honors heritage and nurtures community livelihoods, HLITOA is helping to create new pathways for economic recovery and shared understanding. The association is confident that international visitors will soon return in greater numbers, contributing to a stronger, more vibrant tourism sector that fuels both cultural pride and economic growth.
