Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to Shine at WTM London 2025 – Showcasing the Heart of Incredible India

Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) is set to captivate the global tourism industry at World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, being held from November 4 to 6 at ExCeL London. Representing the Heart of Incredible India, MPTB will highlight the state’s evolution into an -offbeat multispecialty destination—celebrated for its seamless blend of heritage, wildlife, spirituality, and adventure tourism.

With a record 134.1 million visitors in 2024, marking a 526% surge since 2020, Madhya Pradesh is fast emerging as India’s top travel destination. The state recently earned global recognition from The Wall Street Journal as one of the “Go-To Global Destinations for 2025.” The momentum was further reinforced by the successful Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM) 2025, which hosted over 100 international tour operators from 27 countries and generated investment proposals worth ₹3,665 crores (US $440 million) through more than 9,000 B2B meetings.

Blessed with UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Khajuraho, Sanchi, and Bhimbetka, and 15 more in the UNESCO Tentative List, Madhya Pradesh is a state of Archaeological and Geological marvels. From majestic tiger reserves like Kanha, Pench, and Bandhavgarh to the tranquil ghats of Maheshwar and Omkareshwar, the state remains a kaleidoscope of rich cultural experiences. These landscapes are now being enhanced through new tourism initiatives, including sustainable luxury tent cities in Mandu, Hanumantia, Tamia, and Orchha, heli-tourism routes connecting wildlife sanctuaries and heritage hubs, and high-end resorts under development near Sanchi and Nazarpura Island worth ₹386 crore.

Madhya Pradesh continues to uphold its vision of being a clean, green, safe destination. It continues to have the largest forest cover by area in India. The state is widely recognized as one of India’s safest destinations, particularly encouraging for women solo travellers. This focus on safety, sanitation, and sustainability reinforces its growing appeal among both domestic and foreign visitors.

The state’s deep commitment to Responsible Tourism is setting new benchmarks in the sector. Through community development, capacity-building programs, and local participation, Madhya Pradesh is integrating tourism with empowerment—creating authentic and meaningful visitor experiences while fostering inclusive economic growth.

At WTM London, MPTB aims to build enduring partnerships with international travel trade stakeholders through focused B2B meetings. The delegation will promote curated itineraries, thematic circuits, and investment-ready opportunities across wildlife tourism, film tourism, and heritage conservation.

MPTB invites global partners and visitors to experience Madhya Pradesh’s boundless beauty and cultural depth—a destination where every journey becomes a story.
