Travelling to St Petersburg will become easier for citizens of 53 countries, thanks to a new e-visa, says Fremad Russia.
The Russian destination management company will be at WTM London to highlight the free e-visa, which comes into force on October 1, 2019, and will be extended to the rest of Russia by January 1, 2021.
Countries whose citizens can apply for the e-visa include China, South Korea, Japan and several European nations – but not the UK.
Fremad Russia says St Petersburg is “an exciting and vibrant city, rich in history, arts and music”.
The former capital of Imperial Russia, it is often called Venice of the North because of its rivers, canals and 300 bridges.
Established in 1993, Fremad Russia offers travel services and tours in Russia to business and leisure travellers, as well as shore excursions for passengers on Baltic cruises.
