Registration for WTM Latin America is now open for digital influencers

The Digital Influencers’ Speed Networking session takes place on 3 April and provides the opportunity for digital influencers to meet exhibitors from the tourism industry and drum up business

 The 7th edition of WTM Latin America, the world’s leading  event focusing on the travel industry in Latin America that takes place 2 – 4 April at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, is bringing the Digital Influencers’ Speed Networking event to the show for the third time.

This moment, for which bloggers and digital influencers are anxiously waiting, has been designed so that players from the tourism industry who are at WTM Latin America can discover new ways of forming partnerships and publicising themselves on social networks.

The initiative is the result of a partnership between Brazilian Association of Travel Blogs (ABBV) and WTM Latin America and will bring together some 30 influencers in all who will take part in the session on Wednesday, 3 April, from 16:00 to 17:00 in the Networking Area.

For an influencer to apply to join the session they need to have social media, like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and other platforms as their main activity. Screening to join takes into account editorial quality, engagement, reach and specialization in the areas of tourism, responsible tourism, luxury, gastronomy, economic tourism and LGBTQ +, among others that are linked to publishing posts on tourism.

“We’re always accompanying the changing behaviour of travellers in the travel and tourism industry. That’s why we know how they’ve been consuming the search for itineraries and curiosities about destinations and the social media are extremely valuable in this industry. The tips given by influencers have been increasingly extending their reach and have inspired the decisions of consumers for a particular destination, itinerary, hotel or so many other strands in this travel market,” says Thais Del Ben, Marketing Manager for WTM Latin America.

Thais further stresses that the Digital Influencers’ Speed Networking session is the perfect platform for exhibitors and visitors to meet prominent bloggers and influencers who focus on tourism in Brazil and Latin America. 

How to register? 

First of all, the digital influencer needs to register as a press representative at: As soon as they have been approved, they need to email – – and express their interest in taking part in the Speed Networking session. Contact must be made by 18:00 on 1 March and a confirmatory email will be sent to the influencer by 19 March.
