Sherbet London and WTM London – the event where ideas arrive – partnered this year to reduce the amount of CO2 being produced from taxi transfers during the event. By offering airport transfers in their new electric cabs, Sherbet managed to offset 13.5 tonnes of CO2 during the event – the equivalent of over 20 return flights between London and New York.
WTM London attendees were given a front row seat to the positive environmental impact of these cabs, by being able to view live CO2 offset measurements displayed on screens at the Sherbet London stand during WTM London and on the event’s website.

Speaking at WTM London 2019, CEO of Sherbet Taxis, Asher Moses, said: “While you can’t fly electric at the moment, you can certainly drive with electric power thereby helping to reduce carbon emissions.
“The new electric taxi releases 29g of CO2 in comparison to the traditional diesel taxi which releases 229g of CO2 so there is a significant saving here to help reduce emissions in London.
“Those who worked with us during WTM London, were able to actually visualise the savings that they were making. The passenger at the end of the journey received a receipt saying how much they have saved in terms of carbon emissions, meaning we created a safer and more environmentally friendly travel world.
“By booking one of our electric taxis you were able to contribute to your WTM London experience while also helping us all reduce emissions together.”
