Excitement mounts as Travel Forward prepares for blockbuster return to physical event

Travel Forward takes place from November 1-3 2021, at ExCeL, London, and will be followed by WTM & TF Virtual on November 8-9.

Travel Forward is ready to welcome travel tech delegates to ExCeL London for what will be one of the strongest and most important events since it was launched in 2017.

For 2021, organisers have seen a surge of interest over the past few months as international restrictions start to be lifted and vaccine rollouts continue. Travel Forward will see companies from around the globe covering a number of travel tech verticals.

Booking software developer CodeGen has been a regular Travel Forward exhibitor and is ready to demonstrate a range of new artificial-intelligence based features which have been added to its products for agents and operators.

Mark Melzack, Head of Sales, CodeGen, said:

“Virtual events have served their purpose during the pandemic, but nothing beats a live trade show for face to face, networking and building relationships. I’m a strong believer in being where your customers are.”

Travel Compositor from Spain is another Travel Forward veteran, and will also be updating the market with the latest upgrades to its “holistic travel sales system” including new features for transportation and cruise companies.

CEO and co-founder Manuel Aragones said that being present at Travel Forward “is like back to life, back to business”.

Another returning exhibitor is GIATA, the German business which provides a portfolio of mapping, descriptive, content and distribution services for hoteliers.

Konstantinos Panagiotakis, Senior Sales Manager at GIATA, said:

“The post Covid phase will bring a lot of changes and now is the right moment for every travel partner to expand their collaboration with multiple hotel providers to offer more competitive pricing.”

Other returning exhibitors include: Cendyn, Ecommpay, Kantox, Lemax, Nitro Travel Solutions, Open Destinations, Rategain, Sabre Hospitality Solutions, Tourplan, Travolution, Vamoos, Voxel and Wild Dog Canvas.

Simon Press, Exhibition Director at Travel Forward, said: “Travel Forward is good to go – we have a strong line-up of speakers on stage and the exhibition floor will play host to some of the most important travel tech companies in the market.”

Highlights from the conference programme include the high-profile Front Runners Travel Tech Competition and Summit, in partnership with World Tourism Foundation Lucerne (WTFL).

He added: “Like many of our exhibitors, the team has also been innovating. New services for exhibitors, such as lead capture app Emperia, reinforces our commitment to helping the market reconnect and rebuild.

“We’ve also got the necessary protocols in place to make sure the event is as safe as we can make it.”

Proof of vaccination or natural immunity, or a negative test will be needed to enter the venue, with organisers requesting that everyone wears masks. PCR testing is available on-site for overseas attendees who need to take a test before returning home.

Press concluded: “We held our nerve and committed whole-heartedly to ensuring that Travel Forward could take place this year, and with days to go there is a palpable buzz of anticipation from exhibitors, staff and the team around getting back to face-to-face meetings, keynote speeches and networking drinks, after eighteen months of working from home and Zoom.”
