Trends, Responsible Tourism, Women in Tourism and Technology are the pillars of the content of the event

São Paulo, July 27th 2021 – The 2021 edition of WTM Latin America, the main B2B tourism event in Latin America will happen for the first time in 100% virtual format, on August 10, 11 and 12. For connecting and engaging the participants, the organization of the event prepared a robust content qualified with national and international speakers.

AUGUST 10

08:00 AM – 08:30 AM – Destinations leading recovery: Egypt

With: Madame Ghada Shalaby – Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of the Arab Republic of Egypt; Peter Greenberg – Interviewer (PBS/CBS News).

With its borders open since June 2020, Egypt has been taking a series of actions for encouraging tourism, becoming one of the leading destinations in the post-pandemic recovery.

The Greek government has used technology and predictive data analysis for assuring a safe return to travel, by vaccinating and keeping the WHO standards, globally complimented by its leadership in the recovery.

The debate will present the expansion of the Afro-tourism market in the country and around the world, and how to meet the needs of the tourist seeking diversity and of companies working with Experience Tourism.

With: H.E. Rita Marques – Secretary of Tourism of Portugal; Peter Greenberg – Interviewer (PBS/CBS News).

The government of Portugal allocated 6 billion Euros for the tourism industry, for using in the recovery of the industry. The Tourism Reactivate and the Sustainability Plan work in tandem for reaching positive numbers again by 2023.

NETWORKING AND BUSINESS GENERATION

The platform, completely developed for making the experience of participants intuitive and friendly, will allow the scheduling of virtual meetings, lasting up to 30 minutes for up to 6 participants per room.
