Slovenia Showcases Its Sites

The Slovenian Tourist Board (STB) will promote its many cultural offerings at WTM as part of its Year of Culture campaign.

During WTM London, the STB will focus on its ancient castles and heritage sites, including the newly designated UNESCO biosphere reserve The Mura River in eastern Slovenia, whilst continuing to promote responsible tourism.

This year the STB hopes to raise awareness for its lesser-known sites and destinations to showcase the country’s beauty beyond Lake Bled.

Slovenia will focus on promoting its magnificent castles with its partner Ljubljana Castle, ancient landscapes and World Heritage sites to protect and preserve the country’s rich history.

Slovenia is home to some of the most intriguing castles in the world, from the beauty of Bled to the staggering heights of Predjama Castle.

Also among Slovenia’s top cultural sites are the impressive Ljubljana Castle, the subterranean world of Europe’s largest show cave and Strmol Castle that was recently awarded the prestigious Unique Castle of the Year 2018. Visitors to the Slovenia stand can learn more about Slovenia’s unique hotel offerings and packages.

This year the STB has teamed up with the iconic Ljubljana castle as its official WTM partner to help preserve and protect the historic site, showcasing its fascinating history.

The most central attraction in Slovenia’s capital, Ljubljana Castle has provided unforgettable panoramic views of the city for 900 years.

The Slovenia stand will host a culture-themed brunch, hosted by the iconic Ljubljana Castle, on day two of WTM. Pre-registration is necessary. Contact:  slovenia@alexandramarr.com
