The recently launched Jersey Tidal Trail is a spectacular coastal route shaped by some of the world’s biggest tides. Stretching over 48 miles, this circular trail around Jersey’s coastline tracks the rhythm of the tide and tells the story of the island with every step.

Completely free to walk, and with sections to suit every ability, visitors to Jersey can experience the ever-changing beauty of the island’s coastline on this bucket-list island adventure. Twice a day, Jersey’s coastline undergoes a remarkable transformation as the sea recedes, revealing ancient causeways, tidal islands, and vast seabeds that offer a surreal, moon-like walking experience.
Hikers can trek from the commanding presence of medieval castles to the haunting remains of World War II bunkers, exploring breathtaking clifftop trails or secluded secret coves, knowing every stretch of the coast has a story to tell.
Jersey’s natural beauty blossoms along the Tidal Trail at every turn; one can expect to find a rich display of seabirds, seaweed, vibrant rockpools, and delicate coastal wildflowers. The journey is also a culinary adventure, with opportunities to discover charming seaside cafés, authentic local seafood shacks, traditional country pubs, and farm stalls serving up the island’s best bites.
