Learn all about the benefits of visa-free travel to the United States through the Visa Waiver Program while at WTM 2019 during two information sessions.
The U.S. Visa Waiver Program, powered by ESTA, enables citizens from 38 countries (soon to be 39!) to travel to the U.S. without needing to obtain a visa–making travel to America easier than ever. During their visit, travellers can stay up to 90 days for business or pleasure. A Visa Waiver is good for up to 2 years or until the traveler’s passport expires (whichever comes first).
Citizens of all countries travelling under the Visa Waiver Program must apply through the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA), which currently costs $14 USD.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are refreshing the ESTA website to include new functionality and a better user experience. Travellers will be able to start and save applications, see application errors in real-time, and receive email verification that their application has been submitted or its status updated.
Visitors to WTM 2019 can have questions answered about the program or the ESTA application process during two hosted information sessions. Attendees can meet the team, get the answers they need, receive information about the ESTA application process, and learn more about updates to the website. In addition, if they’ve encountered challenges with the program when assisting clients with travel to the U.S., the team is eager to hear more so they can help!
