Alban Eral
Founder of Blue Ocean Awards / BlueCity

After being an engineer for the French space agency and a member of the general management at Microsoft EMEA and Deutsche Telekom, Alban co-founded in 2006 the first Open Innovation consulting firm in Europe. He was leading from 2008 to 2012 the innovation practice for Indra business consulting in Paris. Since 2008, Alban has deployed Blue Ocean Strategy for leading organizations as ENGIE, Nintendo, EDF, Chanel, Auchan, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Zodiac, Johnson & Johnson, Servier, Veolia.

In 2014, Alban founded with HEC Paris and the French Ministry for the Economy, the Blue Ocean Awards, event and ecosystem dedicated to the Blue Ocean market creation by startups, SMEs, corporates and public organizations.

Alban founded in 2017 the Blue Ocean Starter, first incubator dedicated to experienced entrepreneurs. In 2018, he created the BlueCity program for new public services to build the City of Tomorrow, mixing Blue Ocean Strategy for national development and Open Innovation between public and private organizations. Alban is a graduate of HEC Paris and Télécom Paris.

Jason Hunter
Senior Global Practitioner, Blue Ocean Global Network

Jason has led successful strategy and innovation initiatives to some of the world’s most recognizable organizations including, Volvo Group, L’Oreal, Pfizer, Danone, Starwood Hotels, SAP, and the World Bank. From 2011-2013 he led a White House project focused on developing breakthrough strategies in public policy. Previously an INSEAD Executive Fellow, Jason has taught strategy, innovation and leadership to executives globally. Since 2001 Jason has worked closely with Professors W. Chan Kim & Renée Mauborgne on executing Blue Ocean Strategy & Value Innovation. Prior to these posts, Jason worked at the Malaysia Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, Global Business Network – Europe, Strategos Institute, and the London School of Economics.

Ian Rolle
President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority

Mr Ian Rolle, President of the Grand Bahama Port Authority Group of Companies is a native of Grand Bahama Island. He considers himself an entrepreneur at heart, with a passion for the sustained economic advancement of Freeport. Mr Rolle joined the Grand Bahama Port Authority as Group Financial Analyst in 2000 also served as Group Financial Controller. Prior to his appointment as President, Mr Rolle. Served as Chief Financial Officer for the GBPA Group.

In 1995,  while employed with Ernst & Young as a Senior Knowledge Steward, Mr Rolle passed the Georgia State Board of Accountancy exam and became a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr Rolle is a member of the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants. The Georgia Society of CPA’s and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is married to Barbara Rolle and they are the proud parents of Nia, Ian, Dana and Jada.
